This is required to clearly identify the type of products or services offered by the business. Professional help and advice at the Patent Office We have listed a few addresses at the Patent Office where you can seek advice on hiring agents for your trade mark affairs. You may not need them during the initial application process but may prefer to have them for advisory purposes in the life of your trade mark(s). This section outlines the process of examination of a trade mark application, leading to the approval or otherwise of your desired trade mark. Before sending in your application, please assure yourself that you have checked and verified that your proposed trade mark is in conformance with the governing legislation and the rules and regulations provided by the UK Patent Office. This the currently applcable legislation governing the registration of trade marks and the protection of registered trade marks in the United Kingdom. The Trade Marks Registry administers the Trade Marks Act according to the detailed rules, which are subject to change from time to time.
